The Federal Communications Commission's Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau is organizing a technical panel discussion on the 700 MHz nationwide interoperable public safety wireless broadband network. It has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The event will be held in the Commission Meeting Room (TW-C305), and will also be broadcast live on www.fcc.gov/live.

The agenda for the panel includes discussion on:

• Technical standards to ensure interoperability
• Network coverage, reliability, and capacity
• Opportunities to leverage commercial technology to lower public safety network and equipment costs
• Technical issues associated with roaming and priority access
